Prerequisites
For demo- and evaluation purposes it is possible to run a complete solution on one machine. In a production setup there are normally at least two separate servers (OLAP and Web) and several clients involved. Click here to see how it works
- Server
- Cube(s) in MS Analysis Server 2000/2005, included in MS SQL Server. (A complete setup of DSP Portal Edition includes a cube file for demo purposes that can be used if you don’t have MS Analysis Server installed.)
- Internet Information Server (IIS) and Windows Sharepoint Services (WSS), both included in Windows Server 2003/2008
- Client
- Basic functionality (View and create dashboards with DSP Web Parts)
- MS Internet Explorer (6.0).
- Extended functionality (Integrated launch of Pivot tables)
- MS Office (2000, XP, 2003) with Office Web Components (OWC) installed and/or
- Knosys ProClarity (5.3, 6.0, 6.1) and/or
- MS Data Analyzer and/or
- Temtec Executive Viewer
